Little sister, Cave! (lat.)

The title Little sister, Cave! is a free combination of English and Latin. "Cave" is latin for “Watch out!” or in swedish “Akta!” or "Se upp!”.

The panther, the animal sculpture itself, originates from a sculptural group entitled Sisters, presented in an exhibition context linked to identity, power and colonial spaces, Colonial Rooms. In this new guise, with a choice of materials such as car paint and stainless steel, it is also easy to draw parallels to the sculpture Listen!. Both of these earlier works, Sisters and Listen!, confronts subjects such as power, vulnerability and established structures. Little sister, Cave! is inexorably an extension of these earlier works.
